The cream is the last step of the routine: its job is to seal everything you have just applied, so the water does not evaporate within the hour.

The choice of texture matters more than the ingredient list: a gel for oily skin and summer, a gel-cream for combination skin, a rich cream or balm for dry skin and winter. The same skin may need all three depending on the season.

Ceramides and centella are the two safe bets, whatever the skin type.
